A Message From Our Founder
When I founded Haustier Events, I didn’t just want to create events. I wanted to create infrastructure that focused on creative, community-centered fundraising for animal rescues. Across Canada, animal rescues are doing extraordinary work — often with limited, unpredictable resources. They rely on volunteers, community goodwill, and donations that fluctuate year to year. That instability doesn’t reflect the scale of their impact.
So I asked:
What if immersive experiences — festivals, fandom gatherings, literary conventions — could become structured funding engines? What if passion could power sustainability?
Haustier Events became the cultural driver and the grant will became the institutional backbone. This isn’t about one event. It’s about building Canada’s first experiential philanthropy platform for animal welfare and we are just getting started!
